I went out yesterday and was staggered by the number of butterflies about. I had a peacock land on me and follow me all over the place for ages.

I've always loved them. They remind me of my Grandad x

Hello Cheryl
nice to see you on here again, there seems to be an influx of butterflies I agree, nothing new unfortunately. I fancy a ride to Chambers Wood, nr. Wragby I understand there have been some White Admiral's sighted. Not heard from Diane, hope she is well. take care..Roy.

I keep meaning to get to Chambers Wood too, as I keep seeing it mentioned on the Wildnews Bulletin.

I'm not sure where Diane has got to, but I'm supposed to be meeting up with them in a couple of weeks for a trip to Potteric Carr.

I've only heard of White Admirals for the first time this year and have yet to see one, but I've had loads of Painted Ladies, Orange Tips and Brimstones as well as the usual Peacocks and Red Admirals.

I regularly drop by and check on what you've been up to. I really enjoy your photos. Keep 'em coming x

Hello Cheryl

Looks like we may have missed our chance at Chambers Wood now the weather has change. I have never seen a White Admiral either. I only have one Brimston to my collection that was from Messingham a couple of years ago. Not been there this year yet. I emailed Diane just after they came back from Devon and they were off again on Bash that weekend. She said, she would look for me on Skype for a chat.
I am sure they will show soon, give her my regards when you meet.
Yesterday I was most pleased of a sighting of two young Littl Owls. I have been watching this site for sometime, the little fellow or lady on my blog has fledged two little ones. What is most strange I have never seen two adults together. Hope to get a picture of the owlets soon. I went out last night but I got rained off.

Roy.

I'll keep checking in in the hope that you've captured them, although in this weather, I suspect it might be a while.

There's a Little Owl that often sits on a fence post on my way home from work ( I know I should leave earlier), They're lovely.
