May 16. These cute Puffins were abundant on both Inner and Staple Is. We were told by the warden most of the females were sitting on eggs underground...unfortunately I did not capture any Puffins carrying sandeels in their beaks but got many shots. If anyone is thinking of the all day birding trip I would recommend this but the tour company will not give a garrantee they will land on Staple Is unless its safe to do so. So be warned, you pay the money but take a chance...we were very lucky.
